NENA Skincare: Our 2021 Highlight Reel
For the third year in a row, we are sharing our annual ‘highlight reel’ and reflecting on some of NENA Skincare’s milestones and accomplishments in the natural beauty space over the past year. Launched our Award-Winning NENA Mineral Serum
In February 2021, we launched our Mineral Serum product, coinciding with our virtual appearance at The Wellness Show (online edition). Shortly after its launch, we won several awards for our newest product: we were listed as a finalist with the Pure Beauty awards (Anti Aging category), editor’s choice in The Beauty Shortlist Awards, as well as a top finalist in the Made in Vancouver Awards.

In April 2021, we began appearing at two major drugstore retailers: Pharmasave and Rexall, at select locations across Canada.
Offset Our Plastic Footprint with RePurpose
In honour of Earth Day 2021, NENA committed to offsetting our plastic footprint by removing 6,000 lb of plastic from nature with the help of rePurpose. Our donation to this global organization helped reduce plastic waste pollution on land and in our oceans, while employing waste workers in developing countries to save plastics from landfills.
Launched our Pamper Me Pouch
Just in time for Mother’s Day in May 2021, we launched our Pamper Me Pouch, a perfectly giftable introduction to NENA Glacial Skincare. Products inside include a travel sized Clay Mask, a travel sized Cleansing Cream, and a full-sized Mineral Serum, and come with a cardboard sleeve to write a message to your gift recipient.
Learned More About National Indigenous History Month
For National Indigenous History Month in June 2021, we had a chat with Talaysay Campo, a Coast Salish model who was one of the original faces of NENA Skincare. We were excited to hear Talasay’s story, bringing the spotlight to an indigenous talent who helped NENA come to life.

In July 2021, our reusable bamboo cotton pads were included in the summer edition of BC Living’s Simply Beautiful Box.
Certified as Climate Pledge Friendly on Amazon
Did you know? We also sell NENA Skincare on Amazon for both Canadian and US shoppers! Through our verification with the Environmental Working Group (meaning our products have been reviewed to ensure they are free from known chemicals of concern), we were officially listed as Climate Pledge Friendly in August 2021 and have Amazon's seal of approval for meeting sustainability standards in helping preserve the natural world.

In October 2021, we were part of CleanCon, a virtual event which brought together EWG scientists, healthy living experts and marketplace innovators directly to its attendees, inspiring them to live a cleaner, healthier life. NENA was included in the CleanCon™ Box, which was filled with full-sized EWG Verified goodies, supporting a healthier, more natural skincare routine.
